In my photography I am most often exploring the relationship between nature and architecture. In New York, the relationship is skewed to be more architecturally heavy. I often find myself pointing the camera upward and looking to the sky to see the height of the buildings. Being in the city makes me feel much smaller than at home in Nebraska, and my photographs reflect that feeling. My hope is that the stills I am capturing will create a dialogue of scale between the city and the viewer.
